In this debut episode, join Moj Mahdara as they provide context to why this podcast came to be. From their experiences as a first-generation Iranian American to navigating cultural and societal expectations as a non-binary individual, Moj reflects on being a disrupter by nature. From the challenges of navigating cultural expectations to confronting societal injustices, Moj's story transcends borders and invites listeners into a raw and unfiltered exploration of the human experience.
The purpose of creating a podcast like Reset the Algorithm was always to bring new ideas and the perspective of futurists to a larger platform. After connecting with Alon-Lee Green and learning about his organization: Standing Together, I knew there was no better moment than now to create the show and shed light on the important mission of this organization.
We are living in a time of extremes, from ideology to actions taken by governments. But as humans, we must use the lessons learned from human history and the painful past, to push through and create a more prosperous, equitable and just future for all of us. Joining forces across ideological lines can be a paradigm shifting practice. The need for coalition building, courageous conversations and fighting for peace and justice is now.
Join me on this learning journey and let’s Reset the Algorithm together!
